detroit become human Memorial Tribute to Former State Representative Ted Stopczynski

The Michigan House of Representatives give a memorial tribute to Thaddeus Casimir Stopczynski. Ted was a former State Representative of the State of Michigan, serving from 1973 to 1982; served as a Detroit Police Officer from 1962 to 1973, and as Chairman of Detroit School Board Region 6. Ted also served as Director of Legislative Liaison for the Michigan State Police from 1983 to 2002, before retiring in 2002.

Ted is survived by his wife of almost 58 years, Judith Evelyn (Drost) Stopczynski; 12 children: Suzanne Wokuluk (Paul), Peggy Dumas (Clayton), Lawrence (Jill), Gregory (Julie), Judith Wright (Richard), Matthew (Denise), Timothy, Elizabeth Stopczynski, Rebecca Mariage (David) , Thaddeus (April), Johnathon (Brooke), and Andrew; 11 foreign exchange students, 33 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and brother, the Honorable Stanley Stopczynski (Donna).
