Recommended this 'boomer ball' for my friends' staffie 'Webster' who likes to chew everything. These balls are given to polar bears and lions in zoos and are indestructible. They work as they are too big for the animal to pick it up in its mouth (they come in several sizes - this is the smallest size I think) so instead they get obsessed with trying to and end up playing for ages on their own.

In the holiday room out the back of the shop where I used to work we had a large area that we would let the tortoises roam around under supervision.

The little tortoise is a male and has decided that he takes objection to the larger tortoise being in his way. So he tries to shove him with his shell. Unfortunately, the bigger tortoise barely notices his efforts at all! Bless!

The smaller tortoise is a (quite large for its breed) horsfields tortoise and the large one is a 16 year old male sulcata tortoise (which get to about double the size in the video, can weigh around 100kgs and require sooo much heat and grass to feed on as well as produce a remarkable amount of wee and poo that it's surprising so many shops still sell these to unsuspecting potential owners! They need to live in groups and get absolutely huge. They are the largest species of land-locked tortoise and the 3rd biggest species in the world! They should never hibernate as they are desert dwelling and too much salad would be an unsuitable diet for these guys.

A rare lizard to find and even rarer to successfully breed. These chuckwallas were bred by a friend and they are soooo cute. Their little smiley faces and baggy skin is adorable. They originally would live in very hot desert environments, similar to the Uromastyx and they survive on eating succulents and bits of vegetation. They are predominantly vegetarian and also enjoy seed such as millet or lentils. As you can see here tho they also go wild for dandelion flowers when they get offered them!

This uromastyx ('dab-tailed lizard') was supposedly not tame at all! However, it didn't seem to mind having a little scrub with warm water and a toothbrush to clean it up and get all the dried poo off! These are desert lizard originating from Pakistan, Afghanistan and the Middle East and get their water only from the juicy vegetation they consume. They shouldn't have any water in their vivarium as with their required temperature being around 140°F it would evaporate and increase the humidity - which is not good for them. They should be fed a variety of dark leafy greens (not spinach or kale tho as these inhibit the metabolism of calcium) as well as a few seeds such as lentils and millet. They also love dandelion flowers!

One of my own bred chameleosis barbatus ('false chameleons') enjoying a tasty snack on his favourite food - some snails! I feel a bit bad for the snails tbh because snails are cool, but these lizards do require a wide assortment of food, including snails. I now breed my own African land snails to provide an endless supply of crunchy delights for my three lizards in this species.
